Your Guests Notice the Nightstand. And They’re Talking About It.
Share
Hotel guests may not remember every amenity in their room. But when something makes their stay easier, more convenient, or simply solves an everyday frustration, they notice. And sometimes, they talk about it.
Across hotel reviews and social media, travelers are mentioning “Cubie” products without being prompted: praising convenient bedside charging, calling out the products by name, and even purchasing Cubie products for their own homes after discovering them in a hotel room.
Small Details Can Make a Big Impression
Today's guest arrives with a phone, smartwatch, tablet, earbuds, laptop and an expectation that charging them shouldn't require crawling behind furniture.
One Tripadvisor guest staying at the Hale Koa Hotel in Honolulu specifically called out the CubieBlue in the room:
“I particularly liked the CubieBlue alarm clock because of the USB charging ports.”
- Allen21096, Tripadvisor
At the Park Inn by Radisson in Leduc, another traveler appreciated the convenience of having charging right where it was needed:
“Very handy having so many plug ins for devices.”
- PixieGirl, Tripadvisor
The guest went on to specifically identify the CubieTime alarm clock with two outlets and two USB ports.
And at the Atlanta Marriott Northeast/Emory Area, the takeaway was even simpler:
“Appreciate the Cubie charging station.”
- Jonathan T, Tripadvisor
Three short comments. One consistent message: guests notice convenient bedside charging.
Guests Notice When It's Missing, Too
Perhaps an even stronger argument comes from what guests say when convenient charging isn't available.
A guest at the Southampton Inn described the frustration of trying to charge a phone in the room:
“We found it particularly annoying when we could not find an available outlet without moving huge pieces of furniture to charge our cell phones. It would be so easy for this hotel to add a Cubieblue in each room just for this application.”
- Leaislandgirl, Tripadvisor
That's not Cubie by Brandstand suggesting a solution. That's a hotel guest asking for one.
For hotels, it's an important reminder that something as simple as outlet placement can become part of the guest's overall impression of the stay and potentially part of the review they leave behind.
“The Most Useful Hotel Alarm Clock EVER”
Travelers aren't only talking about Cubie in formal hotel reviews. They're sharing their reactions on social media, too.
“@HiltonHotels the most useful hotel alarm clock EVER”
- Ron Hernandez (@saab007), X
Another traveler posted:
“Most amazing hotel room clock I've ever seen!”
- Chris Patterson (@chrispatterson), X
And after encountering CubieTime at a Hilton property, Marcos Prolo wrote:
“THANK YOU @DullesHiltonAir @HiltonHotels! These charger magigikis are the best!!! Clock+alarm+charger+USB. A #Cubietime is all u need!”
- Marcos Prolo (@MarcosProlo), X
The enthusiasm isn't coming from a product advertisement. It's coming organically from travelers experiencing the product during their stay.
When a Hotel Amenity Is Good Enough to Take Home
One of the strongest measures of a memorable hotel amenity may be when a guest likes it enough to buy one for home.
Airline pilot @herbjacksonjr shared his experience after encountering a Cubie during a hotel overnight:
“I loved it so much that I bought 2 for my house. One for the guest room and another for my bedroom. The charging ports are so nice.”
- @herbjacksonjr, Instagram
Think about that for a moment.
Of all the things a traveler encounters during a hotel stay, a bedside product made enough of an impression that he sought it out afterward and bought two.
Another Instagram user summed up the experience much more succinctly:
“Greatest hotel nightstand alarm clock / multi charger Ever!”
- @justbeu1111, Instagram
And another reaction gets straight to the point for hotel operators:
“This is genius and every hotel room needs this! Well done Marriott!”

Guest Experience Lives in the Details
Hotels invest heavily in creating memorable guest experiences. New bedding, updated décor and major renovations certainly matter. But guest experience is also built through dozens of smaller interactions throughout a stay. Where do I plug in my phone? Can I charge it next to the bed? Do I have to unplug the lamp? Do I need to crawl behind the nightstand? When the answer is easy, guests may notice. When the answer is difficult, they may notice even more.
The comments travelers are already sharing about Cubie products demonstrate something important: the nightstand is a small space with an outsized opportunity to improve the guest experience.
And in a hospitality environment where guest experience influences reviews, loyalty and future booking decisions, those little details can have real business value.
